DoseDost HealthTech Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Company” or “DoseDost” or “We”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its users (hereinafter referred to as the “User(s)”, “you” or “your”) of our mobile application and website, www.dosedost.com (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Application”), and your use of our health management services.
We have the highest regard for your privacy and personal information and realize that the success of our services depends on the trust that you have in the way we handle your personal information. By entrusting us with your information, we would like to assure you of our commitment to keep such information private. We have taken considerable steps to protect the confidentiality, security and integrity of this information. We encourage you to review the following information carefully.
This policy sets out our commitments and explains the rights that you have with respect to your personal information. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised Privacy Policy. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy for the latest information on our privacy practices. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal and sensitive medical information when you access or use the DoseDost App.
This Privacy Policy applies only to the DoseDost mobile application. The website is for informational purposes only and does not collect user data or offer app functionalities.
This Privacy Policy is published in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). By using this Application, you consent to the collection and use of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- NOTICE UNDER THE DPDP ACT
We collect personal data such as your profile photograph, name, age, gender, contact details, medical information, prescriptions, adherence logs, device information and usage data for the purposes of providing health-management features, medication reminders, analytics and support.
You may withdraw consent, request correction, erasure or access to your data by writing to our Grievance Officer/DPO.
If UPI or other payment features are introduced in the App, all such payments will be processed exclusively by authorised third-party payment providers. DoseDost does not handle, store, or have access to your UPI ID, bank account details, or payment credentials, and shall not be responsible for any payment failures, delays, unauthorized transactions, or disputes arising from such third-party services.
This Privacy Policy shall be read together with the Terms & Conditions, which contain additional mandatory disclosures required under the DPDP Act. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the App.
- COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
As a User of the App, when you use our Platform, the Company collects and stores your personal, medical, and technical information. The Company’s primary goal in doing so is to enable the delivery of personalized medication reminders, missed-dose alerts, prescription storage, health analytics, and related digital healthcare services.
DoseDost does not access or collect the contents of your device’s photo library, media files, or contacts unless you explicitly upload them.
You may browse certain sections of the Application without revealing any personal information. However, to use the App fully, you will need to register using an OTP-based mobile verification system, where you may be required to provide details including your name, mobile number, email ID, age, and gender.
You always have the option not to provide certain information by choosing not to use a specific service or feature. However, non-provision of such data may limit your experience or disable certain App functionalities.
The Company collects personal and sensitive data from you at several different points, including but not limited to the following:
a. During registration or account setup on the App;
b. When you add family members or dependents to manage their medications;
c. When you upload prescriptions, reports, or medical documents;
d. When you contact us for assistance or feedback;
e. When you participate in any user surveys or research activities;
f. When you interact with notifications, reminders, or reports generated by the App.
In addition, we may collect certain information automatically including:
a. The Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your device to the Internet;
b. Your mobile device’s unique device ID, operating system, and model;
c. Login credentials (mobile number, OTP verification logs), and other connection information such as app version, language preferences, and time zone;
d. Technical data such as app crash reports, system diagnostics, reminder logs, and usage statistics;
e. Information about your interaction with the App, including screen response times, navigation patterns, and reminder engagement frequency;
f. Information from Firebase Analytics or similar tools to understand how you interact with various screens and features;
g. Personal information received from social networking sites, if and when social login features are introduced, including name, profile picture, email address, and publicly shared details;
h. Cookies and local storage data, to help identify repeat users and store preferences (see below).
In case any user has availed premium subscription, we may use a third-party payment gateway to process payments. These payment processors will have no access to your medical data, and will use your information strictly for transaction verification purposes in compliance with applicable laws.
- COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
The Company uses data collection devices such as “cookies” on certain pages of the Site to help analyze our web page flow and measure promotional effectiveness.
A cookie is a piece of information that is stored on your computer’s hard drive by your web browser which tracks your movements within the Application. Our site uses cookies to keep track of how often you visit our site, previous purchases and to deliver content specific to your interests. Most browsers are automatically set to accept cookies but usually you can alter the settings of your browser to prevent automatic acceptance. If you choose not to receive cookies, you may still use most of the features of our Application, including the ability to purchase products.
This information may further include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our site or not), your computer browser information, and your IP address.
In case of online payment services for the purchase of items, we further collect some additional information, such as a billing address, a credit/ debit card number and a credit/ debit card expiration date and/ or other payment instrument details.
If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the Site, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.
Web beacons (also known as clear gifs) are used in combination with cookies to help Site operators understand how you interact with the Site. A web beacon is typically a transparent graphic image (usually 1 pixel x 1 pixel) that is placed on a site or in an email. The use of a clear gif allows the Site(s)/ App(s) to measure your actions in opening the page that contains the clear gif.
Embedded scripts are programming codes that are designed to collect information about your interactions with the Site, such as the links you click on. The code is temporarily downloaded onto your Device from our server or a third-party service provider, is active only while you are connected to the Site, and is deactivated or deleted thereafter.
- USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
The information obtained is used by us for our internal research on our users demographics, interests, and behavior to better understand, protect and serve our users. This information is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis.
The personal information we collect allows the Company to keep you posted on latest product announcements and upcoming events, including product launch, discounts, sale, confirmations, invoices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages. It also helps us to improve our services, content and advertising.
The information obtained is used by the Company for legitimate and lawful purposes, including but not limited to:
a. To deliver personalized medication reminders, refill alerts, and missed-dose notifications;
b. To store and manage your medical records, prescriptions, and reports;
c. To track adherence, generate health logs and analytics for your convenience;
d. To contact you regarding App updates, new features, and offers;
e. To improve our services, design, and user experience;
f. To prevent misuse, fraudulent activity, and technical issues;
g. To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations;
h. To conduct internal research, audits, and system analysis to improve app reliability.
The Company may use, share, or monetize anonymized and aggregated data for research, analytical, or commercial purposes. Such data will never identify any individual user or their information. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or medical data to any third party.
The Company may analyze Aggregated Information in order to enhance the Application security, track the popularity of certain pages of the Application, track success of our email notifications, assess traffic levels on the Application and other usage data, all of which would help the Company to provide content tailored to the interests of the consumers, improve the Application and related services and to otherwise enhance User’s experience on the Application. The Company may also share the Aggregated Information with its Other Entities and third parties for provision of such services or for completion of your Transactions on the Application, subject to the terms of this Policy.
- DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES
At times the Company may make certain personal information available to strategic partners that work with Company to provide products and services, or that help Company market to customers, such as a credit card processing company to bill you for services or an email service provider to send out emails on our behalf. Personal information will only be shared by Company to provide or improve our products, services and advertising, however, it will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes. You shall be contacted for a confirmation on any of your personal information being shared with a third party and if you wish not to share any such information with the third party, Company shall respect such request.

To the third parties who provide services, including Application hosting, credit card processing, data analysis, newsletter services, promotional activities, other administrative services and other services which enhance user experience. The Company may share your Personal Information with such third parties, as may be necessary, for the purpose of enabling such third parties to discharge the provision of such services. These third party service providers may be located within or outside India. Your Personal Information may also be shared with the manufacturer of the products ordered/ purchased by you on the Application or with entities responsible for delivering the products ordered / purchased by you on the Application.
- INFORMATION SHARING
Your information may be shared by the Company for the following purpose:
a. With its legal counsel or upon a law enforcement agency’s request or in response to a legal or government process;
b. During Inspection and investigations, for prevention of any illegal activities or suspected fraud;
c. Personal data may be transferred outside India except to countries restricted by the Central Government under the DPDP Act;
d. Violations of any of the terms of the Privacy Policy and to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing the Application and applicable laws or as otherwise required or permitted by law or as consistent with the legal requirements of India;
e. To operate our systems properly;
f. To protect the rights, privacy, safety or property of the Company;
g. To protect other Application users;
h. To enforce the Terms of Services;
i. With third party subcontractors solely for the purpose of or in connection with the services, who are contractually bound to protect your information from unauthorized use or transfer.
Additionally, in the event of reorganization, bankruptcy, merger, or sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company, we may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third party. You will have the opportunity to opt out of any such transfer if the new entity’s planned processing of your information differs materially from that set forth in this Privacy Policy.
- SECURITY
DoseDost has adequate security measures and tools in place to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under DoseDost’s control. Whenever any User furnishes his/her credit card number, that credit card number is transmitted by the User’s browser in an encrypted format using industry-standard, SSL (secure socket layer) encryption method. Even though DoseDost endeavors to protect its User’s Personal Information, DoseDost cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted to DoseDost, through or in connection with the Application. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with DoseDost is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you might have with DoseDost has been compromised), you must immediately notify DoseDost of the problem by contacting us in accordance with “Contact Us,” below (note that physical mail notification will delay the time it takes for DoseDost to address and respond to the problem). - CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
We do not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive any information from anyone under the age of 18 years. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately. We will not differentiate between who is using the device to access the application, so long as the log in/access credentials match with yours. - RETENTION & DELETION OF DATA
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by Indian law, your information is needed to provide you services, or as required to fulfill our legal obligations.
If you wish to delete your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, kindly fill the form or contact us at hello@dosedost.com. Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Consent logs and access logs are retained for a minimum of 3 years as required under DPDP Rules.
- CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
The Company may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new version. The Company encourages you to review this policy regularly for any changes. It is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically as your continued use of this Application and our services represents your agreement with the current Privacy Policy. - PERSONAL INFORMATION SITE AMENDING OR REMOVING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, CONTROLLING MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS, AND PRIVACY QUESTIONS
You have the right to access your Personal Information held by us and, if necessary, have it amended or deleted. You can also request not to receive email, SMS, and MMS marketing communications from us. You may opt out of receiving email newsletters and other marketing communications by following the opt-out instructions provided to you in those emails. If you sign up to receive SMS or MMS messages, you may unsubscribe from any SMS or MMS messages received by replying “STOP.” Please note that the Company may still need to send you certain communications relating to your account or use of the Site(s)/ App(s) and these transactional account messages may be unaffected if you choose to opt-out from marketing communications.

- GRIEVANCES REDRESSAL
In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India, in accordance with Rule 7 of the DPDP Rules. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing: grievances@dosedost.com. Any report of violation of breach of privacy, Information or identify theft or grievances in relation to the Information shared, collected, stored or disseminated by in relation to the Application shall be communicated to the grievance officer. Our Grievance Officer shall undertake all reasonable efforts to address your grievances at the earliest possible opportunity.

a. DoseDost is an informational and reminder-based app intended to support medication adherence.
b. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
c. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns or changes in medication.
d. The app’s notifications and data storage rely on device permissions and third-party services (Firebase, SMS providers).
e. DoseDost is not liable for any missed alerts due to network or device issues.
f. This document shall be subject to the covenants mentioned in Terms & conditions.

The information is provided by DoseDost and while we endeavor to keep the information up to date and correct, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the Application or the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the Application for any purpose.
